"Begin today and write in it your goings and comings, your deepest thoughts, your achievements and your failures, your associations and your triumphs, your impressions and your testimonies. I promise you that if you will keep your journals and records, they will indeed be a source of great inspiration to you, each other, your children, your grand-children and others throughout the generations. Remember, the Savior chastised those who failed to record important events." --President Spencer W. Kimball

Valentines Day

I'm not a huge fan of Valentines Day....I feel like everyday should be a day to express your love and appreciation for those you love, but since it's a holiday and everyone celebrates it, we figured why not?!  My Valentines day was great!  I spent the whole day with my Ova.  That alone is my happiest time....we don't even have to be doing anything.  :)  He spoiled me anyway.  We went to dinner at PF Changs, a Chinese bistro....I'd never been there before and it was pretty good!  We actually went early because when he called to make reservations everything was already booked LOL.  We went at 4pm and it actually turned out perfect!  We were seated and eating our food and the place started to fill up quick. While everyone else was waiting, we were enjoying our meal....haha...that's definitely how we'll do it from now on!   Dinner was delicious and we always have good conversation!  When we were done with dinner we went to a movie.....we watched Identity Thief, that was a funny movie....then we hit Leatherby's for dessert.  It was a great day with my love!  :)

We finished our Valentines day date at around 10pm and stopped by WalMart.  I'm such a slacker and I put off buying Valentine's for my kids school class, and helping Makai make his Valentine box until the very last minute :-/  I ran in and got a few things and then we headed home.  The kids were waiting on us to get home.....and they always attack whatever leftovers we bring home LOL.  I sat down at the table with Makai and we started to brainstorm how we were going to make his box.  He told me he wanted a Valentine monster where it looked like the monster was eating his Valentines.....we messed around with a few different ideas, and this is what we came up with....I think it turned out pretty awesome, and he LOVED it which was the only thing I really cared about!  :)

While I was helping him make his box, him and Mone sat down and addressed all the Valentine's they were going to hand out to their class.  Then they went to bed.  I stayed up getting their little Valentines gifts ready for them in the morning.
