Wow, I can't believe it's the year 2010 already.... it seems like just yesterday we were getting ready to celebrate Y2K and so many people thought the world was going to end. I was getting ready to go on my mission, and attending college at the U. I can't hardly believe that was 10 years ago. Now with a New Year officially starting, it's a time to set new & realistic goals that can hopefully be accomplished before we hit 2011.
December 2009 is oficially over and our little princess STILL hasn't joined us. This pregnancy seems so long, I can't believe I'm actually going to go all the way to my due date. Both Makai and Mone were born a little after 37 weeks, and this one will be 40 weeks on the 7th. So, if I don't go into labor on my own, my doctor said she would take her on my due date. At my last appointment, Ova asked the doctor if we could wait 2 days past my due date and have her on the 9th of January because that happens to be Ma's birthday and how awesome would it be to have her on Ma's birthday and name her after Ma. My Doctor agreed and when we told Ma, she had the biggest smile on her face and said it was meant to be. It's funny because I actually really wanted to have her last week....so I drank, or maybe I should say gagged down a whole 4oz. bottle of Castor Oil.... which according to everyone I talked to was supposed to start my labor...and it totally didn't, it just cleaned me out and absolutely nothing else happened..... I guess Ma's right, it was meant to be that I wait until her birthday! Either that, or she's been praying WAY to hard... hahahaha! Either way, we will have our little princess Ilaisaane Lautala Fangupo on January 9th, 2010!
As I look back on this past year, there has been so much that has happened. I don't think I need to list everything, because most of the most important things I have already blogged about. We've been blessed greatly and we are aware and so extremely grateful to a loving Heavenly Father who loves us unconditionally. As far as setting goals for this new year, I would love to say I want to lose 50lbs.... but I think I've had that as a goal for the past few years and so far, never accomplished it... hahaha! So this year, I'm just going to say that I would like to exercise more and be more healthy. Ova and I set a goal to continue to go to the temple every week and to spend quality family-time with our children every week also. I would like to be able to stay home more and be with my kids, and now that Ova has such a good job, that goal can be realized a lot more easily! We'd like to save up more and take more family vacations, and this year 2010, is the year for Disneyland!
We are a very happy little family, and there is very little that I would want to change. I love my husband more every year and even after 7 years, I can't get enough of him.... I hope it continues to get more and more like that every year. I can honestly say that I don't feel complete when we're not together...and I just love having him around all the time! I asked him the other day if he feels like I smother him too much, because I ALWAYS want him around....and he was so offended. The feeling is mutual and it's the best feeling in the world! To be honest, we've come a long way.... when we first got married, we had only dated for 3 months and so the first couple years was our 'getting to know each other' stages. We fought more than we should have, and now that we've learned what each other likes and how differently we react to certain things, we both make compromises for each other and honestly I can't remember the last time we had a serious fight. I love him with all my heart and soul, and consider myself very blessed to have such a wonderful, handsome preisthood holder in my life! My boys are getting so big and handsome and learning so quickly. It's so fun to see their personalities develop and see them grow. Sometimes I just catch myself staring at them thanking my Heavenly Father for sending me such perfect little angels.... (which don't get me wrong, they are not perfect little angels all the time...hahahah, but you know what I mean) If I had to pick one word to describe how I feel about this past year, I would have to say BLESSED. And I'm ready for this new year to unfold!
