"Begin today and write in it your goings and comings, your deepest thoughts, your achievements and your failures, your associations and your triumphs, your impressions and your testimonies. I promise you that if you will keep your journals and records, they will indeed be a source of great inspiration to you, each other, your children, your grand-children and others throughout the generations. Remember, the Savior chastised those who failed to record important events." --President Spencer W. Kimball

Chris&Polu Tie the Knot

What a special day for Polu and Chris...
What a special day for our whole entire Lomu family...

Today was the day that Polu and Chris got married....they got sealed in the Draper Temple...
I can't even begin to express how proud I am of Polu and the decisions she's made in her life.
She hasn't had the easiest life.....and she hasn't had the best role models...
Her Dad, Uncle Pailate, is in prison for murder and her mom is missing or locked up half the time because she fell into drugs.  It's so sad what these kids have gone through....but they are all amazing kids.  Kauasi is married in the temple to his beautiful wife and they have two beautiful kids.....Siosiana has a good head on her shoulders and Polu got married in the temple today.  They didn't always have their parents, but they always had each other and that was all they needed!

Today was so special and it was so great to see so many people come and support them in the temple.  The services were beautiful and so special....and Polu was glowing.  Almost all the family was there either inside or waiting outside to witness and be a part of Polu's special day!  She looked like a princess in her beautiful wedding gown!

Polu & Chris with all her siblings...

They chose to get married at the Draper temple because it was on top of the hill near the prison where her dad is serving time.  She planned to let balloons go once they came out of the temple in hopes that they would fly high to the sky and her dad would be able to see them from the prison yard.  She had already planned it with him and he was going to be waiting outside to see them.   It was so special!  I think we all started crying once we let them go.  Chris and Polu had white balloons and everyone else had colored balloons.  As soon as they walked out of the temple doors, and after they snapped a few pictures, we went to the side of the temple and let the balloons go.  Praying that they would go high enough for Uncle Pailate to see them...

After the temple we all went home and got ready for their celebration dance.  It's always a good time when Ova's crazy family gets together!  lol

I just love this picture of Ova and Sau and their baby girls at the dance....
And Mone getting his boogie on with his baby sister......so cute!!

Chris and Polu, we love you!  Thank you for letting us be a part of your special day!  We are so happy for you and wish you a lifetime of love and happiness!
